Early and accurate diagnosis is an absolute priority in modern gastroenterology. With growing pressure on efficiency, physicians and hospital management increasingly turn to advanced technologies that can speed up workflow while supporting the precision of examinations. The flagship in this area is the ELUXEO 8000 endoscopy system and the CAD EYE artificial-intelligence modules from FUJIFILM.
Image without compromise: the details that decide
The basis of successful diagnosis is perfect visualisation of the mucosa. The ELUXEO EP-8000 system is 4K-ready and, thanks to its 12G-SDI output, enables video signal transmission at top quality. Combined with series 800 video endoscopes equipped with a highly sensitive CMOS chip, the system delivers crystal-clear images even in difficult conditions.

For detailed visualisation and characterisation of lesions, the processor offers several specialised light modes:
- LCI (Linked-Color Imaging): Improves lesion detection thanks to high contrast.
- BLI (Blue Light Imaging): Used for detailed characterisation of the mucosal surface structure and microvasculature.
- ACI (Amber-red Color Imaging): A new diagnostic-therapeutic mode focused on visualising subtle nuances in red coloration, ideal for identifying sources of bleeding during ESD and other endoscopic procedures.
CAD EYE: A second pair of eyes for maximum confidence
Even the most experienced endoscopist can feel fatigue during long shifts. This is where CAD EYE comes in, a new and unique technology for the detection and characterisation of colorectal polyps using artificial intelligence. This assistant works in real time and helps the physician not to lose sight of any pathology.
The CAD EYE system is characterised by the following key functions:
- It provides multi-level signalling of suspicious polyps by displaying the polyp in the detection field, illuminating the area and sounding an audible signal.
- It enables colour differentiation of hyperplastic and neoplastic polyps, which facilitates clinical decision-making.
- It is fully compatible with the VP-7000, EP-6000 and EP-8000 video processors, series 800 endoscopes and series 700 video colonoscopes.
Further tools for a smoother workflow
Modern endoscopy is not only about the image itself but also about ergonomics and support during the procedure. The ColoAssist PRO function visualises the position and shape of the endoscope in 3D in real time alongside the endoscopic view, which facilitates a complete examination. To estimate lesion size directly in vivo, the Scale Eye function (available on EC-760S-A/M, L colonoscopes) offers laser measurement and a virtual scale display.
